BUT: ARE MUSLIMS EATING TRUE HALAL TAYYIB MEAT?
 
Unfortunately: NOT !
The bitter reality today: Muslims are facing many serious problems and concerns regarding HALAL MEAT:
 
*Most of Dhabh(animal slaughter) is not done according to the Islamic/Prophetic method of DHABH(TAZKIAH):  
by Direct/ hand slaughter and without any  stunning or mechanical slaughter!
Unfortunately, most Halal meat companies/shops  have adopted many western methods in DHABH like stunning(many types)  , mechanical slaughter etc..
TAZKIAH/DHABH should be done on a live conscious hearing animal which do not occur if the animal was stunned !!
Remember: There is no single authentic scientific study in the world 
which have proved that the direct Prophetic method of DHABH/TAZKIAH
do cause any pain to the animal when DHABH is done properly.
It is easily explained physiologically when the cut is done properly in the neck!
*Consuming halal meat and food is an act of IBADAH(worship) and is a spiritual act. 
 One may not go to JANNAH/Heaven if he/she has been consuming untrue  halal non Tayyib meat and food
 Also, his/her Prayers and DUAs might not be accepted 
 
*One FIQH rule :all  so called halal meat on the market is not considered halal until it is proven to be TRUE HALAL TAYYIB MEAT!
 
*Cruelty to animals is inflicted during Dhabh by many Muslims and Arabs in the slaughterhouses due to lack of Islamic knowledge and by not implementing the great animal care and welfare prescribed by the merciful Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to every animal at time of DHABH and during one’s life!
By not handling the animal gently and individually, by using the cruel transport, by not offering the animal food and water before DHABH,   by not sharpening the knife properly or by sharpening the knife in front of the animal, and by witnessing the slaughter of other animals and seeing and smelling blood!

*Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) warned us in a Hadith that he will “FIGHT 
 all those who do animal slaughter different from his humane merciful method   of DHABH” as in the use of : Stunning techniques and mechanical slaughter
 
*Many suppliers of halal meat are not Muslims ,here we have a question mark ? about the  true HALALNESS of their sold meat! 
 
*Most of the bodies/meat of the halal animals we eat are NOT TAYYIB: NOT PURE NOT NATURAL NOT ORGANIC and NOT HEALTHY as they contain a lot of antibiotics vaccines harmful toxic chemicals , and hormones … !
* Muslims by and large have FAILED to establish their own TAYYIB (Organic) 
  Farms :
  TAYYIB meat or food is used frequently in the Quran after the word HALAL  in many Ayat.
 TAYYIB MEAT (natural/organic/fresh/pure/safe…)    is a MUST in any halal meat !
 
*Many animals todayare not given their own natural “Halal diet” like grass and seeds but given some  “HARAM DIET” like animal proteins/harmful chemicals to eat !
 
*Many Muslim suppliers/shops use the world halal when the animals were stunned and do not tell the customers about their use of stunning or mechanical slaughter or how the animal was slaughtered !
*Many “Muslims” selling halal meat have been found  as CHEATS AND LIARS Lately a lot of corruption was discovered in the “halal market”
 
* Most Muslims involved in animal slaughter/selling  meat were  not properly  educated and trained on the Prophetic humane method of direct  animal slaughter without any stunning contrary to the  good education and  strict training among the Jewish community
 
*HALAL is the most abused and exploited word when most of the meat is not truly halal!
You can sell PORK just by adding the word: Halal !
 
*There are many Halals meat shops who lack proper hygiene and cleanliness in their shops and in handling meat , which gives a bad image on Islam and Muslims and gives the Muslim consumers  a lot of cases of food poisoning!
Poor hygiene was noticed too in most Arab/Muslim slaughterhouses
 
*Some of the animals sold for halal meat might not be healthy or reject  and not checked properly by a vet and unfortunately sold to Muslims !
 
*Contamination with PORK have been noticed in some slaughterhouses in some cases when the PIGS were slaughtered in the same places where Muslims did their own slaughter!!!
Some halal meat shops in South London   were found few years ago   selling minced halal meat mixed with PORK, following a scientific analysis of random samples of meat and which was   organised by British officials belonging to the UK government?
 
*The invented STUNNING TECHNIQUES today are used on our innocent voiceless animals in these ways:
-Electric water bath for chicken/poultry
-Electric voltage applied to the sheep, commonly the head
-Guns used on the cow(Captive bolt pistol)
 
Stunning the animal before DHABH has been found to:
 -Kill many animals before the act of DHABH… and are Mitah, they are haram to eat!
-Cause the Muslim consumers to consume blood in the meat which is haram too(Salt and pepper HAEMORRHAGE)
-Cause pain and suffering to animals
-Make the meat unhealthy and not Tayyib by changing the natural chemical safe healthy formula of the meat which was created by Almighty ALLAH
Stunning causes also “SALT AND PEPPER HAEMORRHAGE” ,blood inside the meat/leg which cannot be seen or taken out and unfortunately the blood is consumed by Muslims which is haram and unhealthy to consume!
*More than  40 %of chickens die from the stunning by electric water bath before you do the DHABH and a lot of Muslims are eating dead haram meat as the meat from dead animals before DHABH is forbidden to eat in Islam.
According to previous reports:
About 95% of the poultry/meat eaten by the Muslims comes from STUNNED ANIMALS !!!
 
*  Many Poultry today are killed by: GAS stunning so all the chickens 100% are dead (Mitah)before DHABH this will make all chickens HARAM to eat
We believe that many of these haram poultry are sold in the Muslim market !
*Unfortunately, most halal meat imported to Saudi Arabia(Makkah and Madinah) came from stunned animals slaughtered abroad !
 
*A large number of Muslims are today ADDICTED TO POULTRY/ MEAT !
They eat MEAT frequently and almost daily !
Colon cancer and many other diseases are linked to the high consumption of meat especially processed meat as stated in a lot of medical studies and reports  by WHO. 
The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) uses to be semi-vegetarian in his diet.
 
* Muslim countries should STOP IMPORTING a lot of meat and poultry from the west and from  non Muslim countries as almost all meat and poultry imported are doubtful and are NOT TRUE HALAL meat
and NOT TAYYIB ,especially as STUNNING and MECHANICAL slaughter were  and are widely used before the animal slaughter  and are sold as Halal to Muslims?
Muslim countries have got all the  natural resources and farms to do in order to organise their  own local supply of meat and poultry  and for SELF SUFFICIENCY and without the need to import any any !
A WIDE NATIONAL INTERNATIONAL  EDUCATION CAMPAIGN  is  badly needed today to inform all Muslims especially those Stakeholders Halal meat companies halal shops on the SUPERIORITY  AND THE HUMANITY Of the PROPHETIC METHOD OF ANIMAL SLAUGHTER /TAZKIAH   WITHOUT STUNNING
STUNNING IS FOUND TO BE CRUEL UNHUMANE AND GIVE US UNHEALTH UNSAFE MEAT WITH A LOT OF MUHARRAMAT!
A LOT OF SCIENTIFIC MEDICAL STUDIES DONE ESPECIALLY BY THE SCIENTIST JEWS HAVE OPPOSED STRONGLY ANY TYPE OF STUNNING!BUT THE MUSLIM UMMAH HAVE FAILED TO DO THEIR OWN SCIENTIFIC MEDICAL STUDIES ON THE GREAT PROPHETIC METHOD OF DHABH/TAZKIAH AND ON THE  HARMFUL UNHUMANE HARAM METHODS OF STUNNING !
 
Finally:
Our HOUSE OF TRUE HALAL TAYYIB MEAT  TODAY IS BROKEN AND DAMAGED WITH MANY HOLES AND GAPS….
MUSLIMS ALL OVER THE WORLD NEED BADLY TO PUT THEIR HALAL MEAT HOUSE IN ORDER!
 
It is good golden opportunity for us in Ramadan to remember and fix all the above problems and concerns which are   mentioned above on THIS WORLD HALAL DAY/17 Ramadan so we can  start working to sort out all these problems and concerns by next Ramadan in order we all have

 THE REASONS AGAINST THE USE OF ANY TYPE OF  STUNNING FOR TRUE HALAL MEAT AND HALAL  DHABH/ ZABIHA/IN RELIGIOUS SLAUGHTER  -Medical studies (EEG studies)( & common sense) have shown the CRUELTY and the PAIN and   the suffering to the animal do occur if  the animal is stunned?
-Medical physiological knowledge about the effects of the cut/Dhabh on the animal(blood vessels/blood/brain sensation)  have proved that it is “PAINLESS”  
This is explained easily by understanding the physiology of the act of the Zabiha/cut and the effects on the brain/blood pressure/sensation..(a little medical knowledge will help)
–MANY MUHARRAMAT(Forbidden) DO RESULT FROM STUNNING:-Stunning have been found to KILL some animals especially the poultry(about 33% before Dhabh)/according to FAWC .This is MITAH (Dead animal before Dhabh)and haram to eat.(unfortunately they all mixed together?)-Stunning causes less bleeding out and “Salt and Pepper haemorrhage” inside the meat?So, Muslims are consuming BLOOD which is forbidden in Islam and very unhealthy too.
According to medical studies:
The electricity of stunning does cause the rupture of the small blood vessels/capillaries INSIDE THE MEAT , called scientifically: “SALT AND PEPPER HAEMORRHAGE” so the blood( which is unseen) is consumed with the meat.???-Stunning makes the meat NOT TAYYIB/NOT NATURAL/NOT WHOLESOME , as it disrupts the natural chemical formula/ingredients of the meat which is normally healthy to eat 
If the animal was not stunned.-Captive Bolt pistol to stun the cows have been found to spread BSE/Mad cow disease Many states in the US have stopped using it-Scientific medical studies have shown the importance of hearing the Name of ALLAH(Tasmiah) at time of Dhabh  by the animal who should be fully conscious and fully hearing .It was found that TASMIAH acts like tranquilliser/sedative to both: the animal and the slaughtermanand PURIFY the meat from germs/bacteria !In stunning: the animal is unconscious and cannot hear.???-Almost all   Muftis Muslim scholars and Ulamas have given the FATAWAS against the use of stunning,  in a poll done by HMC : at least about 90% of Muftis/Ulamas and scholars in the UK opposed stunning)-Stunning of the poultry is clearly prohibited in the Qur’an, as the heads of the innocent chickens are forcibly immersed in electrified water bath???Some chickens will die from STRANGULATION( MUNQUANIQAH )/drowning which is mentioned in the Qur’an.
The government’s figures before: 33% of chickens die in stunning and before doing the cut
(now it is 41%)  ?.-The OFFICIAL MUSLIM VIEW IN BRITAIN, Like the Muslim Council of Britain and hundreds of organisations and mosques…  HALAL MEAT IS THE ONE WHICH CAME FROM UNSTUNNED ANIMALS( Through PROPHETIC method of Dhabh/Religious slaughter)-Dhabh without stunning is LEGAL in Britain and we Muslims(as well as the Jews) have been given exemption from using stunning(WE ARE LUCKY TO HAVE THIS LAW AND FACILITY HERE IN BRITAIN)
-Many HEALTH HAZARDS have been found in stunned animals:Consumption of blood, BSE/Mad Cow disease , Unhealthy meat etc…
Besides, the animals going for stunning in the abattoirs suffer today from a lot of STRESS/ANXIETY AND FEAR….which was found medically to give us “poisonous” unhealthy meat!
-The same method of DHABH/Zabiha was practiced by all Prophets of ALLAH : Abraham/Moses/Jesus and Muhammad(peace be upon them)…The same HUMANE method.
Jesus peace be upon him, ate only KOSHER/HALAL meat( from unstunned animal)
We are with all technology, animal welfare, hygiene and regulations ..but the ACT OF Religious slaughter/ZABIHA is holy/divine and fixed permanently for all times and no one have the right to change it/interfere with it or adopt any western method of animal slaughter.
-Alhamdulillah the Muslim consumers in Britain/Europe/abroad have taken up to the importance of eating true halal meat without the use of stunning(MORE MUSLIM CONSUMERS DEMANDING IT) ,as shown in the National licensing/stamping of unstunned animals by the organisation:

Allah’s Apostle said, “I have been ordered to fight the people till they ………………. “and slaughter as we slaughter”/Zabiha, then their blood and property will be sacred to us….
At the end of the Hadith ,The prophet Muhammad(pbuh)  mentioned  that THE MUSLIM is the one who prays like us and eats our Zabiha”(unstunned meat)

RELIGIOUS METHOD OF ANIMAL  SLAUGHTER/DHABH 
AND THE MYTH OF PAIN AND CRUELTY? 

The RELIGIOUS method of animal slaughter(DHABH) is the direct method  which is done  without the use of any type of stunning .It is the same method   which was adopted and practiced by all  the prophets of GOD(peace be upon them). ESPECIALLY BY:-Abraham,the father of  the prophets -Moses for the Jews(Kosher)-Jesus for the Christians(Kosher)-And finally by   the prophet Muhammad  for the Muslims(Halal) No doubt the act of slaughter is a motive and frightening view to watch:A knife doing the cut in the neck,blood coming out,convulsions and contractions…then death!  Public at large has thought over the years that this  act of cutting  is “painful and cruel to the animal”  But this was  a mere   SUBJECTIVE feeling   which  was not based on any  OBJECTIVE evidence or fact. -Till now,there is no single scientific medical evidence in the whole world which has  prooved that the divine method of animal slaughter does cause pain to the animal and is cruel  when it  is done properly and professionally.We offer a challenge to all to bring us one authentic study?It is mere illusion and delusion.-The animal ,after the proper cut,keeps still and does not move at all,one can see that clearly:a gap between the cut and the start of  the normal  physiological convulsions and contractions !If the cut does cause pain,so why the animal keeps still for a while after the cut?It is only later, these physiological  contractions and convulsions   do occur when the brain has been deprived from blood, and in order to bring blood quickly to the dying brain(Haemorrhagic shock/instantaneous “ANAESTHESIA”). To the lay public, these contractions and convulsions are because of “pain” felt by the animal after the cut,but this is not true and there is no evidence for that.-In a German research studies on pain,professor Wilhelm Schulze and his colleague Dr Hazim at the school of Veterinary Medicine,Hannover university in Germany ,have prooved through EEG(Electric recording of the brain) comparative medical studies that the animal does not feel “pain”  when the cut is done properly.And evidences of “pain” were noticed when stunning has been used,according to the EEG records.The study is called:“ATTEMPTS TO OBJECTIFY PAIN AND CONSCIOUSNESS IN CONVENTIONAL(Captive bolt pistol stunning and ritual(halal) methods of slaughtering sheep and calves”The conclusion of the study was:THE ISLAMIC SLAUGHTERING OF ANIMAL IS THE MOST HUMANE METHOD OF SLAUGHTER AND THAT THE CAPTIVE BOLT STUNNING PRACTICED IN THE WEST,causes severe pain to the animal.-We all know that electricity,which is used in stunning,is used frequently  in the torture of people in prisons as it causes painSurely every one of us is scad to touch electricity,because of the pain and the burn resulting after.Electricity is used widely in the stunning of sheep and  to the poultry in their electrified water bath!Unfortunately these innocent animals can not complaint or speak up!-Doctors who give ECT(Electro convulsive therapy) as a treatment  to some psychiatric patients in hospitals  as in depression,do it only after giving general anaesthesia first and before applying the electricity to the patient,as it is painful!-There are today in many official  and government reports a lot of evidences about the pain and suffering affecting the animals following the use of stunning:Failure of stunning,re-stun,animal conscious and paralysed,unable to walk,burns,broken bones etc…Apart from the cruelty and stress caused  by the electric rod, the repeated pushing  beating and pinching  of the animals in order to move it towards the slaughter’s site???(all these types of cruely are not allowed in Islam)-Many States in the US have banned the Captive bolt pistol for cattle due to the risk of BSE. The EU had a similar decision on the same  method.-The Farm Animal Welfare Council(FAWC) in Britain,has concluded in their scientific studies that :THERE IS NO EVIDENCEOF PAIN IN RELIGIOUS SLAUGHTER and that IT IS DIFFICULT TO MEASURE PAIN AND DISTRESS DURING THE SLAUGHTER PROCESS IN AN OBJECTIVE SCIENTIFIC MANNER….(FAWC: Report on the Welfare of Farmed Animals at slaughter or killing:Part 1:Red Meat Animals,June 2003/section 194).-Religious slaughter was considered HUMANE by the US Congress(1958)-New medical studies suggest that ENDORPHINS secretions(natural pain killers in the animal  body,as in human too) do occur with the cut,to avoid also the animal from feeling any “pain”.We have to remember  also that the threshold to feel pain in the animal is different from man. FROM AN ISLAMIC/RELIGIOUS POINT OF VIEW: -New medical studies from the University of Damascus in Syria,have prooved that the mentioning of the NAME OF GOD(ALLAH )/TASMIAH on the conscious living hearing animal at time of slaughter, do ACT AS A SEDATIVE/TRANQUILLISER to both: man and animal,and  will  purify too the meat from germs and bacteria.(Fascinating)This interesting  medical discovery was repeated many times,and it gave the same result!This  was signed by over 25 Professors and doctors in the University.(there are DVD about it in both English and Arabic and a book in Arabic about this discovery)-It is prohibited in Islam to inflict or cause any pain to any animal.(Please see  separate the Superior rights of the animal in Islam).-In Islam,every animal  is to be handled individually,by a human(familiar),without causing any stress and to give food and water to the animal before and avoiding the animal the sight of any slaughter or blood  or sharpening of the knife and to keep the animal in a comfortable position.(ALL THESE ARE BASED IN THE ISLAMIC TEACHINGS)We do admit,as in every community,that some Muslims do not pratice the proper animal welfare and care at time of slaughter or before and it is in our plan to educate  and train all for the best welfare and care to the animal  before and during the act of slaughter.To educate all about all Hygiene regulations too.We are fully with all the technologies of today before and after the slaughter and with the technology for best appropriate knife to use.Muslims also will be happy to follow all the regulations and  the laws of the land and EEC,but without been interfered with their permanent sacred religious act of slaughter,and without the use of any stunning.-Surely GOD the Creator and all his prophets in Judaism,Christianity and Islam,can not be all cruel to the billion of slaughtered  animals over the centuries.GOD is called : the most Compassionate,the most Merciful and Muhammad,called the mercy to all the creation(man and animals).-Muslims(and Jews) are ordered clearly in their holy Scriptures to follow their prophets in the act of animal slaughterAll Muslims have been  warned by the prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him) not to change at all the divine  sacred act of animal slaughter.-Many people in the west do not realise that it is forbidden in Islam  and for Muslims to:Eat any meat which came from  an animal who  has died before the cut,consume any  blood inside the meat,cause any type of pain and cruelty to any animal,change the natural healthy chemical formula of the meat(not TAYYIB),eat some meat which is  risky to health ,eat any contaminated meat with any porcine substances…Unfortunately many of the scientific medical reports on stunning have shown all these forbidden and undesirable outcomes  but in different percentages ,when stunning have been used in one way or another.Even if one doubtful about the presence of any of these outcomes,in Islam we are requested to            In the Name of ALLAH , the Most Compassionate the Most Merciful  “THERE IS NO ANIMAL ON EARTH, NOR BIRD WHICH FLIES ON WINGS, BUT THEY ARE COMMUNITIES LIKE YOU!  WE HAVE NEGLECTED NOTHING IN THE BOOK, THEN TO THEIR LORD THEY WILL BE GATHERED!”)   (Qur’an: Chapter 6/verse 38 ) In Islam we are taught that…  -God Almighty has created/made, mankind, animals and the universe.  -Man is the Vicegerent of GOD/ khalifah and is placed in charge of all the creatures like animals   -This status gives man a great responsibility/accountability and he should be caring for what is placed under his control.  – Man was created directly from dust/sand, animals were created separately,  This means that:   Darwin’s Theory is a theory/a myth and is not correct!   Evolution of man from animals is not a true fact and is not accepted in Islam   But some “evolution” did occur in the same species: in both: man and animals.   Muslims believe in the unique separate creation of each species.   – Each animal should be treated with gentleness and respect, love and care. (RIFQ) -The Holy Book: AL QUR’AN and the Sayings/AHADITH and the behaviour of the final Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) contains a lot of details on ANIMALS and how to treat them? – Several chapters in the Holy Book AL QUR’AN are  named/titled after the animals or some insects, for example: the COW(biggest chapter),The Cattle, The Ant, The Bees, The Spider, The Elephant …  and many other animals which  were mentioned include :sheep, goat, camel, horse, donkey, fish, birds, frog, monkey, whale and so on.. -Every kind of animal is a COMMUNITY like us, according to the Qur’an.  (“THERE IS NO ANIMAL ON EARTH, NOR BIRD WHICH FLIES ON WINGS, BUT THEY ARECOMMUNITIES LIKE YOU!  WE HAVE NEGLECTED NOTHING IN THE BOOK, THEN TO THEIR LORD THEY WILL BE GATHERED!”)   (Qur’an: Chapter 6/verse 38 )    COMMUNITY means that each kind of animal(& insect), has its own unique way of eating, sleeping, reproduction, language, recreation, social life, feelings, needs (culture and habits…) which should be studied, respected ,protected   then fully facilitated!  (Communities of : horse, sheep, cow, birds ,whale, seal, monkey, dog, fish, chicken, bear, donkey, spider, bees, elephant ,cat, butterfly etc….)  -Every animal or creation  praises  God the Creator(YOUSABBIHOU)…!(each has his/her own way of serving and praising God(prayer) but we do not understand it, as mentioned in the QUR’AN). -Animals have got souls. -Animals will be raised on the Day of Judgment, man will be questioned by God, if he/she has mistreated any animal in their life and justice will be given to every animal and punishment for the wrong doer…!  -Many animals go to Heaven!  -In Islam, Muslims are ordered to give each animal: his/her RIGHTS:  -Natural food/organic/ “halal” (no animal protein to the vegetarian animals which we do eat, no Genetically modified food…) and to protect them from any filthy harmful food/chemicals… -Water( natural/safe) -Natural  conception/pregnancy, offspring’s, motherhood and breastfeeding
-Right for natural mating and to have babies(No to neutering or castration)
-Right for NATURAL HEALTHY ORGANIC (Tayyib)  VEGETERIAN  “Halal” DIET.
 The animals we eat are Vegetarians by nature…and their Digestive systems have been created to eat and digest Vegetables only..
No animal protein to be given to cow/sheep and poultry.
Otherwise: BSE/Mad cow disease…Mad Sheep disease…Mad  chicken disease !-Security/shelter and safety and protection from wild carnivorous animals -protection from cold/rain/drought/hot weather… -To be used for what GOD has created it( its natural function):for example not to ride a cow but ride a horse. -To be treated when affected by any illness.(vet) -To  allow it to live among its own community/”society”.  -To have freedom to some extent: access to sun air space and opportunity for: flying jumping and playing (recreation)… -Healthy living: no bad unnatural diet, no hormones and antibiotics no dangerous chemicals from vaccines…. – -Right for its “complaint and be heard”! -Right to have justice especially on the Day of Judgment -Right for a gentle humane care and welfare. THE 5 FREEDOMS OF THE FARM ANIMAL WELFARE COUNCIL ARE GRANTED AND GUARANTEED TO EVERY ANIMAL IN ISLAM: Freedom from hunger and thirst, freedom from discomfort, freedom from pain injury and disease, freedom to express normal behaviour, freedom from fear and distress (these RIGHTS and Freedoms, are based in some verses in the Holy BOOK AL QUR’AN and some AHADITH/Sayings and  stories which occurred with the prophet Muhammad  peace be upon him)/see later. Furthermore if you look and search the internet, you will find : Under ANIMAL CARE AND WELFARE IN ISLAM:  1,090,000 sites/studies(now more) Under ANIMAL RIGHTS IN ISLAM  : 4,610,000  sites/studies .(now more…) This is true mainly in domestic animals and the animals which we are allowed to eat and consume.(but other wild animals to be protected in their own communities) -Any cruelty/harsh treatment or infliction of pain to any animal is forbidden  in Islam and is a SIN and is  punishable, as in:   fox hunting ,bull fighting, cock fighting, factory farming, caging/imprisoning, painful unnecessary vivisection/ most animal experiments, cloning, stunning before slaughter, hitting, deprivation from food or water, carrying heavy weight, misuse and abuse  (e.g use as target to hit/shoot at),branding , docking of dogs tails, maternal deprivation,  the cruel seal hunting, exposure to cold/rain/hot weather…etc  -Keeping every kind of animal alive/protection of the species, is recommended in Islam, as demonstrated in Noah’s Ark before!(Preservation of the species). -A person can go to Heaven/Paradise even for just providing food/drink to a needy animal!   A person can go to Hell just because of cruelty or food deprivation to an animal ! (as stated by the final  prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). -There is a reward in offering food or water to any animal, as the prophet said! -From the prophet MUHAMMAD(peace be upon him)/the teacher:  here is some STORIES in brief from his life:  * Was angry one day when he discovered a mother  bird distressed  and agitated because someone had taken her babies and he said: “who has distressed  this mother by taking her babies! give back her babies..!”  *Was angry when a cat was locked inside the house and died from starvation?   He said the owner is in hell!  *Defended a weak camel who was suffering and in tears and complaining … he told the owner: fear Allah with this animal. Do not make him hungry or suffer..!  *Cursed who use the animal as a target to shoot at.  *Prohibited the hitting of the animal especially on the face!  *Prohibited to provoke fight between animals, as in cock fighting.  *Opposed the use the animal for different function, like riding the cow.  *Opposed the harsh cruel pulling of a sheep from the ears.  * Treated a sick dog…  *Opened the door for a cat, who was scratching it, while he was in prayer..  *Opposed the burning of a colony of ants (burning any animal or man are forbidden)  *Changed the direction of the army one day to a different road ,when he saw on his way a dog in labour/ giving birth , and tried to avoid disturbing her…!  * Gave  us many Sayings/Ahadith, ordering us to treat each animal gently, with utmost care and welfare…as the way to Heaven..!  We should not forget also that the prophet Muhammad himself was a shepherd and he looked  very well  after the sheep’s with best care and welfare (organic natural farming); etc……etc…..  -The Khalifah (president) Omar Bin Khattab, used to say:  “I will be worried if I will be punished on the Day of Judgment when the animals complain to GOD that they could not walk properly on the roads during their  lives because Khalifah Omar did not fix the road properly and safely for them!”  -In early Islam: A charitable trust (WAQF) was established in order to look after animals, especially those homeless, injured or disabled animals…! -Abu Hourayrah one of the most famous companions of the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and narrators of AhHadith/prophet’s sayings, used to look after kitten/hourayrah for this the reason  why he was addressed as  Abu Hourayrah (the father of kittens). -Treating a sick animal is a duty on every Muslim and is highly rewarded!  – Killing an animal for food, should be done quickly, painlessly and without any suffering (as it happens in Religious slaughter, without the use of any stunning) (please see separately my scientific medical study on stunning). It is an order by the prophet Muhammad, when someone is killing an animal (domestic/wild), to do it PAINLESSLY and without  causing any pain or torture to the animal before  its final breath. 
–There are fascinating prescribed special animal welfare to be done to the animal at the time of DHABH/slaughter from the Islamic holy Scriptures: 
 -Offering food and drink to the animal before DHABH 
-Not to sharpen the knife in front of the animal 
-Not to slaughter an animal in front of other animal and to avoid him/her seeing and smelling blood  And to avoid the slaughtering together of a mother and her baby 
-Not to cause any stress to the animal at time of slaughter. 
-Handling each animal individually and gently:  no pushing, no beating and no kicking before slaughter  -Mentioning the Name of GOD/ALLAH (sedative) 
 -Slaughtering the animal while he/she is in a normal comfortable position 
 -Avoiding the slaughter of the sick or disabled animal 
-Not to inflict pain/burn/injuries  on any animal by the use of stunning(the new torture techniques to the animals today ?) 
-No handling /no shackling to the slaughtered animal till he/she is completely dead and motionless.
 
-Pork/porcine substance and carniverous animals are prohibited to eat. 
 -Cats  can be kept inside the house as a domestic pet, but not dogs…as they are NAJIS/unclean, cause some diseases, bites and injuries and deaths, noise/complaints/court cases and many  other marital/family  problems.  A person can go to Heaven for providing water to a thirsty deprived dog , According to the  final prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)….  (ALL THESE ARE THE BELIEFS OF 1600 MILLION MUSLIMS IN THE WORLD!)  Now there is a great need to establish  here in the UK/west :   Islamic organisations for animal  care and welfare   and  Islamic animal rights organisations  which are based on the rich sources of the  Holy  Islamic Scriptures: Because: many Muslims/and most non Muslims, do not know or are not aware of the fascinating Rights and the welfare of the animals in Islam …and because animals today are suffering  a lot of CRUELTY and ABUSE  in our society especially in the abattoirs!  British Muslims (about three million), should offer to  many animal welfare  and animal rights  organisations in Britain, the rich source in Islam about animal care and welfare and the rights of animals . A HOLY GUIDE for Animal  Care and Welfare has been  available since more than 1400 years ago! ALL  MUSLIMS HAVE AN ISLAMIC DUTY TO PROTECT AND SAVE OUR SUFFERING ANIMALS IN ALL THESE  WAYS LIKE: Factory farming/battery cage, dog and cock fighting , fox hunting ,animal experimentation/Vivisection ,pets abuse at home, pet abandonment, horse racing, animals in circus and in zoos, genetic manipulation ,sterilisation, maternal deprivation…just to name few! This is apart from the daily abuse, cruelty, torture and suffering  by the use of different stunning techniques  before animal slaughter ! The RSPCA(Royal Society for the Protection of animals) receives over 150 000 complaints /year regarding the cruelty and neglect to our innocent animals! BRITISH MUSLIMS SHOULD COME OUT AND  SPEAK UP AND ORGANISE THEIR NATIONAL PLAN  IN ORDER TO PROTECT AND  SAVE OUR  SUFFERING INNOCENT  ANIMALS IN OUR SOCIETY TODAY!

Islamic Ethics in selling halal meat

ISLAMIC ETHICS IN HALAL MEAT  BUSINESS MARKETING  AND  IN SELLING OR PROVIDING HALAL MEAT
(HALAL CODE OF PRACTICE)
 
According to the Islamic teachings  and to the Islamic Ethics in selling  in  business and marketing: 
THESE ARE PROPOSED ISLAMIC ETHICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR SELLING HALAL MEAT:
-Honesty and truth fullness in  the meat  you sell
-No cheating
-Inform the consumer of any defect or damage or weakness in the meat on sale
-No Exploitation
-Honest explanation how the animal was slaughtered
 ? Stunning…?Mechanical slaughter , animal welfare at DHABH , passport for each animal!
Each animal slaughtered for halal should be verified and labelled when is not stunned and with no mechanical slaughter as HMC do!
With evidences/certificates
ALL MUSLIM UMMAH LIKE THE HALAL MEAT COMING FROM TAZKIAH SHAREYAH ONLY which is broken in most halal meat companies and shops today?
In the west we have one good thing  :
Informed consent
Unfortunately Muslim consumers  do not use this right  in buying halal meat or in buying  any other  goods.
  • Also to inform the consumers about the proven medical hazards and diseases resulting from meat consumption
  •  And to remind every consumer :it is unhealthy and against SUNNAH to be addicted to meat !

-Clear sure  medical certificate: the animal/s was healthy before slaughter 
-Evidence of TAZKIAH SHAREYAH certificate (without stunning)  done by a Muslim should be available to the consumers
-Evidence the meat is Tayyib(natural pure) coming from organic animals ,grown naturally.
-Evidence and certificate on the halal  feeding of the animals
-Evidence the meat is surely not contaminated by porcine ingredients
-Evidence the meat is not mixed with non halal meat
-Evidence that all HYGIENIC procedures  were used from moment of animal slaughter till the time meat  is sold or fed
-And to make sure that Extreme hygiene procedures were taken in the abattoir, the halal shops and the halal restaurants(many  unfortunately , are filthy unclean with poor hygiene  and can give us food poisoning)
-To make sure the meat is  PURE not smelly( or out of date) or colored or have added chemicals like the dangerous nitrites which can give us cancers?
-Right to return the meat if there is any suspicion or in case any of the above requirements is missing
-Every consumer has the full right to see and check all documents on animal slaughter in the company(HCB)
-A third Islamic professional body to certify the TRUE HALAL  TAYYIB  HYGIENIC HEALTHY meat
-TRUE HALAL MEAT should be bought only from practicing educated Muslims and not from non Muslims?
as almost most HCBs are self certified and are not checked and investigated or licensed  by a third independent  Islamic professional body
-Any one who  sell meat and did break these rules
or some of it  should  be referred to:
  • The  local Islamic Sharia Council/Court
  • The Food authority of the government like the Food Standards Agency in the UK who deals with meat and food according to the MISDESCRIPTION   of the FOOD ACT?

ALL MUSLIMS should be informed about any HCB/shop/restaurant who broke the above Islamic medical ETHICAL  LEGAL RULES in all Muslim media and in mosques !

-Muslim consumers should be educated about their rights to complain/speak up/threaten or boycott / or make a Petition  regarding:
the companies/the halal shops/the restaurants…who broke all the Islamic  legal rules and the many  hygienic procedures  or CHEATED in any way
Important to organise Education and training programme  to all stakeholders who are involved with halal meat:
The  Halal companies ,the slaughter men, the staff in the halal shops, the staff in the halal restaurants…
(the Jews are good in that)
–It will help also  to establish TEL HELP LINE for the Muslim consumers in order  to contact and report  any one who broke  any of the above rules  
THE TASK IS HUGE AND IT LOOKS THAT IT  NEEDS PROPER ISLAMIC GOVERNMENT IN ORDER TO IMPLEMENT ALL THESE ISLAMIC ETHICS  EASILY  IN THE HALAL MEAT BUSINESS?

What is halal meat?

Interesting article on HALAL Meat!!
We have a very wrong understanding about the meaning of Halal slaughter. I was asked by a Non-Muslim professor once.  What makes a meat halal?  And I didn’t know an explanation and I was embarrassed. But I gave a vague answer saying that we say the prayer before we cut, that makes it Halal.
Later, I came back and went through many hadiths and articles written by muslim scholars and finally came to an understanding. I am going to explain it in a scientific way so that InshaAllah in the future you will be prepared if anyone asks you the same.
WHAT MAKES A ? MEAT ? HALAL OR HARAM??
Answer: It is the undrained blood that contaminates the meat, which  makes it Haram.
What non-muslim butchers do is completely CHOP OFF the head as a result of which the Connection between the Brain and the Heart is LOST hence the Heart stops Pumping/Beating almost instantaneously. Therefore there is no driving Force to PUSH the blood OUT of the body. As a result of this the blood STAGNATES in the veins and arteries and Contaminates the meat.
Scientifically Blood is one of the Best culture mediums to grow bacteria.
Consuming meat contaminated with blood makes humans more vulnerable to infections and joint pains. (Joint pains because of high uric acid levels in blood)
SO WHAT IS THE HALAL WAY??
Answer: We DO Not Chop off the head completely, instead we CUT the Main Vein (jugular vein) in the neck first. This vein contains venous blood in high pressure and it directly connects to the atrium of the heart without any interference. This method of slaughtering preserves the connection between the brain and the heart which allows neural transmissions to be delivered. This keeps the heart pumping/beating until all the blood is drained off completely from every vein and artery in the body making the meat PURE and thus halal. SUBHANALLAH!!
SO THE NEXT QUESTION IS WHAT MAKES FISH ? HALAL EVEN THOUGH IT IS NOT SLAUGHTERED THIS WAY??
Allah SWT has created Fish? in such a way that the moment it is removed from water the Entire Blood in its body is redirected to a part called the Epiglottis in its mouth which turns bright red thus indicating that the blood is drained and the meat is pure. SUBHANALLAH!!
