Islamic Ethics in selling halal meat

ISLAMIC ETHICS IN HALAL MEAT  BUSINESS MARKETING  AND  IN SELLING OR PROVIDING HALAL MEAT
(HALAL CODE OF PRACTICE)
 
According to the Islamic teachings  and to the Islamic Ethics in selling  in  business and marketing: 
THESE ARE PROPOSED ISLAMIC ETHICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR SELLING HALAL MEAT:
-Honesty and truth fullness in  the meat  you sell
-No cheating
-Inform the consumer of any defect or damage or weakness in the meat on sale
-No Exploitation
-Honest explanation how the animal was slaughtered
 ? Stunning…?Mechanical slaughter , animal welfare at DHABH , passport for each animal!
Each animal slaughtered for halal should be verified and labelled when is not stunned and with no mechanical slaughter as HMC do!
With evidences/certificates
ALL MUSLIM UMMAH LIKE THE HALAL MEAT COMING FROM TAZKIAH SHAREYAH ONLY which is broken in most halal meat companies and shops today?
In the west we have one good thing  :
Informed consent
Unfortunately Muslim consumers  do not use this right  in buying halal meat or in buying  any other  goods.
  • Also to inform the consumers about the proven medical hazards and diseases resulting from meat consumption
  •  And to remind every consumer :it is unhealthy and against SUNNAH to be addicted to meat !

-Clear sure  medical certificate: the animal/s was healthy before slaughter 
-Evidence of TAZKIAH SHAREYAH certificate (without stunning)  done by a Muslim should be available to the consumers
-Evidence the meat is Tayyib(natural pure) coming from organic animals ,grown naturally.
-Evidence and certificate on the halal  feeding of the animals
-Evidence the meat is surely not contaminated by porcine ingredients
-Evidence the meat is not mixed with non halal meat
-Evidence that all HYGIENIC procedures  were used from moment of animal slaughter till the time meat  is sold or fed
-And to make sure that Extreme hygiene procedures were taken in the abattoir, the halal shops and the halal restaurants(many  unfortunately , are filthy unclean with poor hygiene  and can give us food poisoning)
-To make sure the meat is  PURE not smelly( or out of date) or colored or have added chemicals like the dangerous nitrites which can give us cancers?
-Right to return the meat if there is any suspicion or in case any of the above requirements is missing
-Every consumer has the full right to see and check all documents on animal slaughter in the company(HCB)
-A third Islamic professional body to certify the TRUE HALAL  TAYYIB  HYGIENIC HEALTHY meat
-TRUE HALAL MEAT should be bought only from practicing educated Muslims and not from non Muslims?
as almost most HCBs are self certified and are not checked and investigated or licensed  by a third independent  Islamic professional body
-Any one who  sell meat and did break these rules
or some of it  should  be referred to:
  • The  local Islamic Sharia Council/Court
  • The Food authority of the government like the Food Standards Agency in the UK who deals with meat and food according to the MISDESCRIPTION   of the FOOD ACT?

ALL MUSLIMS should be informed about any HCB/shop/restaurant who broke the above Islamic medical ETHICAL  LEGAL RULES in all Muslim media and in mosques !
TO BE BLACKLISTED !
-Muslim consumers should be educated about their rights to complain/speak up/threaten or boycott / or make a Petition  regarding:
the companies/the halal shops/the restaurants…who broke all the Islamic  legal rules and the many  hygienic procedures  or CHEATED in any way
Important to organise Education and training programme  to all stakeholders who are involved with halal meat:
The  Halal companies ,the slaughter men, the staff in the halal shops, the staff in the halal restaurants…
(the Jews are good in that)
It will help also  to establish TEL HELP LINE for the Muslim consumers in order  to contact and report  any one who broke  any of the above rules  
THE TASK IS HUGE AND IT LOOKS THAT IT  NEEDS PROPER ISLAMIC GOVERNMENT IN ORDER TO IMPLEMENT ALL THESE ISLAMIC ETHICS  EASILY  IN THE HALAL MEAT BUSINESS?

TIME HAS COME TO ESTABLISH A NEW NATIONAL MUSLIM BODY FOR REAL HALAL MEAT/FOOD/DRINK AND MEDICINE???
To save our Muslims from the wide epidemic consumption of substances from PORK/PIG/SWINE???

Bullets, bread and beer, tambourines and toothpaste… and the 180 other things you can to do with a PIG

When we tuck into a bacon sandwich, few of us wonder what has happened to the other parts of the pig whose life has been sacrificed so we can enjoy a juicy breakfast.

But one inquisitive writer set out to trace where all the body parts of one porker ended up.

Christein Meindertsma, 29, said: ‘Like most people, I had little idea of what happens to a pig after it leaves the abattoir so I decided to try to find out. I approached a pig farmer friend who agreed let me follow one of his animals.’

Identified by its yellow ear tag number, 05049, her pig trail ended with her identifying an incredible 185 different uses to which it was put  –  from the manufacture of sweets and shampoo, to bread, body lotion, beer and bullets.

Christein said: ‘I was shocked when I began to find out just how unusual and varied the different uses for a ordinary pig were. It’s almost as if these days, a pig is no longer thought of an animal  –  more like an industrial raw material with a mind-blowing amount of different uses.’

She found that 4.9lbs of her 16st 3lb pig went to making wine gums, while 4.8lbs went into liquorice. In this process, collagen is taken from the pig and is then converted into gelatine. This finds its way into numerous foodstuffs, where it acts as a gelling agent.

Although not all sweets in the UK contain pork gelatine, many do  –  including Marks & Spencer’s hugely popular and aptly-named Percy Pigs sweets.

It is not only sweets that contain pork gelatine. In some beers, wines and fruit juices, pig gelatine is used to remove the cloudiness from the drink. It works as a clarifying agent by reacting with the tannins in the liquid and absorbing the cloudiness.

Some ice creams, whipped creams, yoghurts and certain butters also contain gelatine, as do certain pet foods. More surprisingly, a number of medicines also contain pig gelatine  –  everything from painkillers to multivitamins.

Hygiene and beauty products are also made of pig. Fatty acids extracted from the bone fat of pigs are used in shampoos and conditioners to give them their shiny, pearl-like appearance. These acids can also be found in a number of body lotions, foundations and anti-wrinkle creams. Glycerine made from pork fat is also an ingredient in many types of toothpaste.

Christein, from Holland, found that while some companies were reluctant to cooperate in her quest, others claimed that they didn’t even realise their products contained elements taken from a pig because of the middle men involved in the complex distribution process.

The confusion is not helped by the fact that it is not clear on products’ ingredient labels where they originally came from.

According to the Food Standards Authority, there is no legal obligation for manufacturers to specify whether the gelatine they use is from a pig or another animal. When it is specified, it is often confusingly referred to as Suilline gelatine.

According to Richard Lutwyche  –  a British pig farmer with more than 60 years experience, chair of the Traditional Breeds Meat Marketing Company and a member of the British Pig Association  –  the reasons for much of this confusion is due to the industrial-scale of much pig farming.

‘In the UK, big commercial farms send their pigs to large abattoirs. The abattoir will find different markets for all the by-products,’ he says. ‘Everything they can’t sell they have to incinerate, so it’s in their best interest to sell as much as they can.

‘There’s an old expression that says: when it comes to pig, you can use everything but the squeal. Over the past 100 years those uses have expanded rapidly.’

Some of the surprising products that can include pig material include photographic film, which uses collagen from pig bones; shoes that use bone glue from pigs to improve the quality of the leather; and certain paints that use bone fat to enhance their glossy properties.

Some makers of cigarettes use haemoglobin from pig’s blood in their filters. Apparently this element works as a sort of ‘artificial lung’ in the cigarette so, they claim, ‘harmful reactions take place before the chemicals reach the user’.

And the next time you buy a loaf of bread you would be well advised to read the packaging. Some manufacturers use an ingredient called L-cysteine, which is a protein made from pig or other animal hair and which is used to soften the dough.

A product like Tesco’s Plain Tortilla Wraps includes this ingredient. The strangest use for a pig by-product that Christein found was in bullets and explosives. Pig bone gelatine was used to help transport the gunpowder or cordite into the bullet. It is difficult not to be impressed by the sheer versatility of this animal and its parts.

Virtually nothing in a pig goes to waste. The snout from Pig 05049 became a deep-fried dog snack, while pig ears are sometimes used for chemical weapon testing due to their similarity to human tissue.

Tattoo artists even buy sections of pig skin to practise their craft on due to its similarity to human skin, while it is occasionally used with burns patients for the same reason.

Pigs make an enormous contribution to medicine, with insulin, the blood-thinning drug heparin and pig heart valves all vital.

However, for vegetarians, Jews keeping kosher, Muslims and anybody else wishing to avoid pig products, this may not be such good news.

The complex workings of the global food and processing industry have ensured that it is almost impossible to avoid pig altogether.

 

Big Mess in halal Meat today?

THE BIG MESS IN “HALAL MEAT” TODAY?….
THE MANY HARAMS,THE WIDE CHEATING AND THE DANGERS FROM  MANY DISEASES AND POOR HYGIENE etc….  
– The label HALAL? is  very much abused and exploited today…for greed and profit!
  It is used as a cover for selling non halal meat and anything…
-about 95% of so called ?Halal sold in “halal” meat shops or by “muslim” businessmen,are not halal???
-Tayyib meat(pure,natural,wholesome.safe,healthy…) almost non existent today?
-Animals  were not fed natural diet(grass and plants…)/organic…?
 Many fed unnatural diet/ or animal protein/or genetically modified diet..??
-Muslims  have failed to  make or get ORGANIC ANIMALS!
-Many animals sold as ?halal ,are unhealthy and with diseases (cheap to buy).
-Poor hygiene during slaughter,in storing,processing,chilling and in halal meat shops?
Most ? Halal meat shops are the most unhygienic,smelly and disgusting…and a source of diseases???
-Many are slaughtered illegally.
-Many ?halal meat in the market is coming from reject meat and non muslim sources…
 Some are coming from animals with diseases(sick)…?
-Dhabh/Zabiha is done  not  according to the prophetic  Muhammad(peace be upon him) way???
About 90 % or more have been STUNNED ,like the non muslims and sold as ?halal
Those selling it are cheating Muslims and not telling them the truth and not saying that they have been stunned like the English???their slaughters are the same like the non Muslims?  so what is the difference?
At least they should be honest and tell the consumers:stunned to give them informed choice in order to decide.LABELLING IS A MUST for consumers to make their mind!!
Although the law in Britain,allow us(with Jews) to do Zabiha without  any stunning?
-Some meat are contaminated in the slaughterhouses as pigs are slaughtered in the same places??
-Those money worshippers”muslims” are encouraging the government to force us to stun our animals?? and to stop our legal right for non stunning?
-The Jews are stricter and follow prophet Moses by avoiding stunning completely(Kosher).
-Many muslims who do Zabiha/slaughtering  are not trained or educated and are not
 aware of the laws and regulations and the hygiene requirements.
 Many are sick  or carry diseases while working…and spreading diseases to us?
 Chilling,storing/right temperature are not done properly.
-Many minced meat in ?halal shops contain PORK???(we have evidences)
-Many imported/exported?halal meat/chickens and in Europe and eaten by the muslims, contain Porcine substances( shown on BBC/TV)
-SRM(special risk materials) ,like brain,intestines,spinal cord …are sold in ? halal and fed to muslims which will make them ill?BSE from cows/Diseases from sheeps could be spreading among muslims?
-Some Muslims are eating beef with a risk of BSE?Sheeps with Scrapie?
-Many raw materials (?meat,?halal) used in processed meat/ packages and sold in the supermarkets by famous ?halal business “muslim” companies are not halal and many are reject or from dubious sources???
-Packages of meat,so called ?halal,contain haram and harmful additives?
-Emaciated sheeps sold as goats?
-Overcharging the muslim consumers for buying halal,although mostare not halal?
– Most ?halal meat shops sell alcohol??..and they do pray?..can you trust them?
-“Muslims” are involved in the illegal practices:Bush meat,Smokies…??
-Any one can BUY certificate HALAL from a Muslim source for £5-10????
 Some wrong fatawas are used by many “muslim” businessmen in order to justify their non halal business? as ?halal?
-Unfortunately  many of our Ulamas/Muftis are unaware of the effects of stunning ,the many harams resulting and the health hazards and cruelty inflicted???
(when you explain to them the details on stunning,they oppose it completely)
– Many Muslim consumers are unfortunately  careless  about what they buy and eat?
-The biggest crime: feeding our innocent children non halal meat..which do build their muscles and organs…?
-This is why of our DU’AS are not answered today!
-Abscence of proper  real halal meat  for Muslims in schools,prisons,hospitals,airlines etc…
-Muslims are eating too much meat..when most are not halal and not Tayyib…
THE IMAMS,MUSLIM LEADERS AND ORGANISATIONS HAVE FAILED TO ADDRESS AND STOP ALL THIS MESS,HARAMS AND PROBLEMS IN THE OUR SO CALLED ?HALAL MEAT MARKET…???
WE ALL ARE GUILTY FOR NOT SORTING OUT THIS MESS…and for ALLOWING few “muslim” halal meat companies and businessmen to take over the ?Halal market
and to cheat us all and exploit our innocent desire for HALAL???
TIME HAS COME TO PUT OUR HOUSE IN ORDER?
